Everyone wonders what things they can eat when they are lifting, or working out in general. A lot of times there are conflicting ideas. One that I come across is something that I’ve grown to love a lot: peanut butter.
Personally, I am not one to get rid of certain foods for a diet plan. But I can understand why peanut butter can be shunned from certain diets. I still wanted peanut butter in my life, but just a little bit better for me. So, I ended up giving PB Fit a try. My PB Fit review will go over some good to knows, how to incorporate it into your diet, how I feel about it, and most importantly, whether you should buy it.
PB Fit described themselves as “Peanut butter without the love handles.” They roast the peanuts, squeeze all the day and calories out, and then grind it to a fine powder. The result is a powder that has 87% less fat and 1/3 the calories of regular peanut butter that is made with real ingredients.
It comes in 3 different sizes, 8oz, 15oz, and 30oz and there is also a chocolate peanut butter powder.
Pros and Cons
I myself have actually used this product. In fact, I don’t have much left so I do feel it’s a good product. Here are some of the positives of PB Fit:
- It is much healthier than regular peanut butter. Take a look at the label.
- It tastes really good. Not exactly like peanut butter but closer enough were it is still good and enjoyable.
- It can be used in so many different ways.
- The price is reasonable.
There are a few minor negatives though:
- It doesn’t taste exactly like peanut butter, and for some people that’s not good.
- It only comes in a powder form, so it’s a little inconvenient to make a PB&J sandwich.
How to Use
On their website, they detail ask the ways you can use PB Fit. And they even have recipes you can use. But I’ll keep it simple, whatever you eat that has peanut butter in it can be made using this product. You can go far beyond protein shakes with this. In fact, I have.
I’ve made shakes with it, but also milkshakes, spreads, pancakes, and fillings. It cooks well and dissolves just as well so you can use it in just about any coming method. The only thing I haven’t tried is baking with it and that’s because I don’t have enough for that!
I don’t have much of it left because I really think it’s tasty. Reading the label and comparing it tomorrow peanut butter, there is a little difference but enough, for me, to buy it. The fact that it’s a powder is much more convenient since it doesn’t get stuck on your spoon.
I only bought the 8oz one because I didn’t think I would like it, but now I’ll be getting the 30oz!
There are plenty of products out there that claim to be a healthier alternative than the original. The problem that they all face is the fact that they are not better for you and they usually compromise on taste. On the rate occasion that a product is neither of those two things, it tends to be unaffordable.
PB Fit is none of those things. It is better for you than regular peanut butter. It doesn’t compromise on the yummy factor (but for peanut butter purest, it just isn’t the same). And the price is reasonable as well. As on added bonus, the company had expanded their product line and also have other flavors like chocolate peanut butter, a vegan version, another with added protein and sugar-free.
To me this shows that the company is growing and responding to their customer’s need and wants. Which is a very good sign.
